Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee announced that he is representing 120 accusers with claims against the entertainment mogul that span over 20 years. “We will expose the enablers who allowed this conduct behind closed doors.
We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates,” Buzbee stated during a news conference. He added that his team has collected extensive evidence, including pictures, videos, and texts.

The allegations against Combs are severe, including violent sexual assault or rape, facilitated sex with a controlled substance, dissemination of video recordings, and sexual abuse of minors.
“These names will shock you,” Lawyer Buzbee said. Buzbee noted that over 3,000 individuals have come forward to his office with allegations against Combs.
The story calls the report of 120 sex assault cases "a massive legal action that appears to have few, if any, precedents in the #MeToo era. The lawsuits would exponentially increase the number of sexual abuse accusations against the music producer." https://t.co/JRh7zVjRHY

He plans to start filing lawsuits in various states within the next 30 days and will name other defendants later.
Among the new group of accusers, 62% identify as African American and come from more than 25 states, particularly New York, California, Georgia, and Florida. Buzbee claimed that 25 of the accusers were minors at the time of the alleged incidents, some as early as 1991, with one accuser reportedly as young as nine years old.
Diddy allegations gain national spotlight
In response, Combs’ lawyer, Erica Wolff, said: “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence in court where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
Combs is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York after prosecutors in the Southern District of New York charged him with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution in an indictment unsealed last month. He pleaded not guilty and has been denied bail twice.
His legal team, including attorney Alexandra Shapiro, has filed the first paperwork before an appeal of the bail decision. Tony Buzbee has previously represented victims in several high-profile lawsuits, including against BP in 2010 after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and representing individuals accusing NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct in 2021. Combs’ legal issues have been mounting since his ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, filed a civil lawsuit against him last year, accusing him of assault and sex trafficking.

Combs settled with Ventura for an undisclosed amount, but surveillance video showing Combs beating Ventura later leaked, for which the mogul apologized. Since Ventura’s lawsuit, multiple other lawsuits have been filed against Combs, including one from a former member of the girl group Danity Kane, who alleged that Combs groped, assaulted, and imprisoned her and threatened her life. Combs has denied all claims, calling them “sickening allegations” from people looking for “a quick payday.” Many of the lawsuits were filed in New York City, which has legislation allowing people to file lawsuits alleging sexual abuse even after the statute of limitations had passed.
