Calculate Exponentiation Using Math.pow() Method

You can use pow() method which is part of the Math classin java.lang for calculating the exponentiation. Java doesnot provide any direct operator (like ‘^’ in VB) for calculating the exponentiation. The pow() method takes two arguments, first one is the base and the second one is for exponent. The return value of this method is equal to base raised to the power of exponent. (e.g.: base ^ exponent in VB). Both the arguments of pow() method are double and it returns a double value.

Here is the sample code which makes use of this function:

 static double GetExponentiation(double base, double exponent){    return Math.pow(base, exponent);}
