Creating Connection to Internet

Question:
I am writing a program that uses the Internet. So far, it works but I need to make sure that the connection is working. How can I make my program look for a connection? And if there is no current connection, how can I make my program connect itself?

Answer:
The easiest solution to this problem is to turn on Internet AutoDial. Any time that Windows 95 receives an Internet request, it will create a net connection if one is not already up.

To do this, double-click the Internet icon in the Control Panel. Depending on which release of Windows 95 you have, the setting may still be called “AutoDial” or it may be an option button which lets you select an Internet connection to use when a request comes through.
