Audio support on Windows CE?

Question:
I know that the multimedia API is limited in the Windows CE environment, but is there any other way to control the audio device? What I want is to record audio files and then play them back.

Answer:
The easiest way to take advantage of the audio device is through .wav files.

For a sound to play on your mobile device, it must be an 11-kHz, 8-bit mono format sound. Sixteen-bit stereo sounds won’t work. The Palm-sized platform provides for the direct recording and playback of .wav files.
