Creating classes

Creating classes

Question:
When you create a class, what do you create?

Answer:
When you enter the source code statements to define a class, you create a template that tells the compiler about that class.

When you declare a class instance, or object, or allocate one using the new operator, the program allocates memory to hold an instance of your class. The compiler knows how much memory is required and other details because the class definition, or template, gives the compiler this information.
