Question:
How do I execute a batch file on an NT machine remotely from another Windows machine?
Answer:
You have a couple of choices, all from the NT Server Resource kit (most are not found in the Workstation Resource Kit). You can use RCMD (Remote Command Service), which has both a client portion and a server portion (which runs as a service on the server). I have used this several times. The resource kit also contains Remote Console (works much like a Telnet session) and does not require a program running as a service on the server. You can also use REMOTE.EXE or RSHSVC (TCP/IP Remote Shell Service)
