FoxPro Syntax

Question:
I was told that aMemo and alines are FoxPro commands but I can not find them in FoxPro help. Is my version of FoxPro too old? I am on version 5.0 dated August 21,1996.

Answer:
The ALINES() function was introduced in VFP 6. There has never been a VFP function called aMemo. There are two functions that exist in version 5: MEMLINES() (which returns the number of lines in a memo field) and MLINE() (which returns a specific line from the memo field).
