Form with One Text Field

Question:
I see search pages that allow text input, then pressing the ENTER key is the same as pressing a link or pushbutton. How is this done?

Answer:
If a form only has one text field, exiting the field by hitting enter automatically causes a submit to be triggered. You don’t have to do anything to the form to cause this to happen; it’s automatically built into the current browsers.
