Quickly Navigate VS 2005 IDE’s HTML Editor

You can spend a lot of time perusing your ASP.NET pages in HTML view?oftentimes, the amount of HTML makes it difficult to locate little details.

But the Visual Studio 2005 IDE provides features that allow you to navigate very quickly around the HTML Page.

First, take a page with lot of HTML content. Go to the design view of the page, and select any control or section for which you want to see the HTML. Then click the Source tab and you’ll notice that the corresponding text is automatically highlighted.

You can also try this trick with the Source View to Design View: keep the cursor in the HTML code of a control, and then switch the Source View to Design View. You’ll see that the control is selected and its properties are also listed in the property window.
