Salesforce Unveils Heroku DX

Salesforce has added a new offering to its cloud development platform. Called Heroku DX (the DX stands for “developer experience”), the new service combines new features?Heroku Button, Heroku Dashboard + Metrics and Heroku Postgre DbX?to make creating an app very easy. The Heroku Button allows developers to set up a sample app based on existing code with just a single click. The Dashboard + Metrics enables collaboration and monitors app performance, while Postgre DbX adds new features to Heroku’s database as a service.

“Many tutorials and sample apps contain step-by-step guides for deploying to Heroku because it is one of the easiest platforms to start on. But we wanted to make it even easier. We wanted step 2 to be: ‘There is no step 2’ for programmers,” the company explained.
