Troubleshoot Visual InterDev Navigation Bars

The navigation bar controls that come with Visual InterDev 6 cause more than their share of problems for newcomers. The most frequent complaint is that the navigation bar doesn't show up on the page. The other problem is that the page only displays text, not a button. The important points to remember are that the navigation bars must be part of a site diagram and must have a Visual InterDev theme. Without those two elements, the vinavbar is a dud. A couple of other troubleshooting tips: make sure that you have the Visual InterDev server components installed on your Web server and that you recalculate the links in your VID project if the navigation bars are acting up.
