In ASP, Catch Carriage Returns in Database Memo Fields

When displaying the contents of a database memo field in a Web page, you may find that you are losing the formatting of the original text. That's because HTML is ignoring the new line commands that were included in the original text.
To work around this problem, make sure you replace each instance of the chr(10) character with a corresponding HTML tag such as <BR>. Here's a sample of how it can be done in Active Server Pages:

<%=replace(myrs("largememo"),chr(10),"<br>" & chr(10))%>
