Another Way to Include .css File in a Web Page

Above IE 4.0, you can use a different syntax for importing the contents of a .css file. The general way is to link to the external .css file. However, when working with IE 4.0 and higher, you also have the option of using @import Keyword instead. This example assumes that the style sheet file is located in the same directory as the HTML document in which this statement appears.

Generally link keyword is used to link to a style sheet:

<link REL="STYLESHEET" TYPE="text/css"
HREF="/generic.css" Title="TOCStyle">
However, another option is to use the following:

<STYLE TYPE="text/css">
@import url("generic.css")
</STYLE>
