Jump to a URL From a Select Box Without Clicking a Submit Button

The code below gets the SELECT OPTION that the user has selected (from the SELECT element's selectedIndex property) and uses that value to determine the correct branch in a case statement. Depending on the OPTION selected, the user is automatically taken to the URL for that OPTION.

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" TYPE="text/javascript">
<!-- Begin hide script
function jmpMS(site) {
switch (site) {
case 0: return
break;
case 1: window.location.href =
"http://www.url1.com"
break
case 2: window.location.href = "http://www.url2.com"
break
}
}
// End hide -->
</SCRIPT>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<FORM NAME = "selector">
<SELECT NAME="titles" SIZE="1" onChange = "jmpMS(this.selectedIndex)">
<OPTION>Jump to...</OPTION>
<OPTION>url1</OPTION>
<OPTION>url2</OPTION>
</SELECT>
</FORM>
</BODY>
</HTML>
