Create a Link That's Really a Function Call

You can call a function from a link, instead of opening a new location, by assigning the function to the anchor tag's href attribute, like this:

<A href = "javascript:myfunc()"> Click here</A>
Notice that the function name is preceded by the expression "javascript:" When the user clicks on the "Click here" link, the function myfunc will be called and the statements within it processed.
