Embedding Applets in XML Documents

I came across this solution while trying to embed an applet in an XSL page I was using to transform my XML source document into HTML.

If you want to cut and paste an applet tag from HTML into an XML document, you need to modify the syntax to the more stringent XML specifications or you'll get errors when the document is parsed. In the following code, I added quotes around all the attribute values and converted the <param> tags into <param/>.
