Dr. Watson Error on Exchange Server

Question:
Can you tell me what this error is?
Dr. Watson: An application error has occurred,
error log is being generated DBASVR.exe
Exception access violation (0xc0000005) address 0x778014e6

Event Log:
Dr Watson Event ID 4097
The exception generated was c0000005 at address 778014e6 ()

Answer:
It's hard to tell off-hand what's wrong, and you didn't volunteer what version of Exchange Server you're running and what (if any) service packs you already have installed.

My first suggestion would be to get the latest Exchange Service Pack 3 and install it if you haven't already done so. The service packs have been known to fix several Event 4097 errors in the past.

My next suggestion would be to look through the various applications on that NT server to make sure that the server isn't overloaded or that another misbehaving app isn't stumbling over Exchange.
