Command Line Input to Java Application

As in C and C++, it is not easy to give input to an application in Java. This is sample code to check whether the given number is even or odd by taking the number from a command prompt.

Here is sample code:

 import java.io.*;public class console {	public static void main(String[] args) 	{	   try	   {		 BufferedReader buf = new BufferedReader(newInputStreamReader(System.in));		 System.out.println("Enter Number Only:");		 int i = Integer.parseInt(buf.readLine());		 if(i%2==0)	 System.out.println("Given Number isEven");		 else		 System.out.println("Given Number is Odd");	   }	   catch(IOException e)	   { System.out.println(e);}	}}
