In C, the “sprintf” function will format a string, including integer values, to a specific length. For example, you could do “sprintf(%2d)”; and it would show 00 as part of the string. Now the question is: How do you do that in Java?
There is a Java API in “java.text.NumberFormat.” We can use this to solve that problem:

The output will be 01, the exact output we want. Otherwise, we know that it would give the output 1.
