Is there a way to keep VB4 from dimming the text in disabled controls boxes (i.e. Text and Labelcontrols)? I would Like to use my own Colors forText areas that are disabled and I am preventedfrom doing so.
Answer:
Under VB4, you can prevent input into a text box by setting its “Locked” property to true. You can then use whatever colors and the text won’t show as disabled. By setting the background to grey, for instance, you can replace your 3D panels with locked text boxes. It saves you from having to load another control.
