Recently we received an assignment to go through Exchange Server and find any messages that a specific user had sent to others on the network and any messages sent to this person by others. Is there an easy way to do this without having to physically go through every single account?
Answer:
I might use ExMerge for this–make two passes with it. The first pass goes through every mailbox looking for items FROM the user and copies them into one or more .PST files for your review. The second pass goes through the Sent Items folder of each mailbox looking for items TO the user and copies those into the .PST file(s) as well.
