Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, and Nokia announced an expansion of their partnership to offer advanced data center networking solutions and services to global enterprises. This collaboration aims to support enterprise IT data center growth and modernization to facilitate strategic digital transformation initiatives. By combining Kyndryl’s expertise in designing, building, and managing hybrid cloud and data center environments with Nokia’s high-performance and secure data center networking infrastructure, the partnership plans to deliver substantial benefits to enterprises looking to modernize and expand their data center networks.
The enterprise data center market is growing rapidly, with investments in data center networks expected to rise due to increasing demand for cloud networking solutions. Paul Savill, Kyndryl Global Network and Edge Computing Practice Leader, commented, “As enterprises navigate increasing workloads due to hybrid IT environments, AI adoption, and high-performance computing, the demand for reliable, low-latency, and secure connectivity is greater than ever. Our expanded solutions with Nokia underscore the critical role robust data center network infrastructure plays in driving IT modernization.
To enhance their offerings, Kyndryl plans to integrate Nokia’s infrastructure automation platform, which employs real-time data and machine learning for full automation of data center networks, with their own AI-powered, open-integration digital business platform.
Expanding data center networking solutions
This synergy aims to empower enterprises to mitigate future risks, meet regulatory requirements, and accelerate their technology transformation journey. Federico Guillén, President of Nokia Network Infrastructure, added, “As businesses utilize AI to transform themselves, they need fast, secure, and user-friendly data center networks.
The combination of Kyndryl’s IT expertise and Nokia’s advanced network technology creates trustworthy solutions for modernizing data centers and staying ahead in the AI-driven world.
The enhanced IT infrastructure will also help fortify enterprises against cyberattacks and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks like the EU’s Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). Kyndryl’s end-to-end network management expertise, coupled with Nokia’s proven track record in large-scale network deployments, creates a potent combination to meet the growing demands for high-performance data center workloads. As part of the expanded portfolio, Kyndryl will deploy Nokia’s industry-leading IP routing products within its data center network.
Additionally, Kyndryl’s network offerings, which encompass software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), private 5G networks, edge computing, and cloud networking services, are further strengthened by Nokia’s data center networking solutions, including their data center fabric, multi-layer security solutions, and quantum-safe networking.
