At the MesosCon conference, EMC unveiled libStorage, its new open source orchestration, model and application programming interface (API) for containerized storage that is platform- and vendor-agnostic. Key features of the tool include a lightweight client package, simplified storage integration in containerized applications, unified management and communication between containers and storage, and support for Cloud Foundry, Apache Mesos, DC/OS, Docker and Kubernetes.
The libStorage code is currently available on GitHub.
