Adobe has recommended that the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) adopt two new features for the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) standard. The first, the CSS Regions module, allows text to flow across several different regions of a page, allowing for more diverse layouts and the ability to adapt to different device sizes. Chromium already supports Regions, and Internet Explorer 10 will do so as well.
The company has also recommended the adoption of Exclusions. This feature would make it possible for developers to flow text around an object on the screen, much like most word processors can flow text around a graphic.
