Appcelerator, maker of the popular Titanium development tools, has announced that it has purchased former competitor Particle Code. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Like Appcelerator, Particle Code offers a cross-platform mobile application development platform. According to Particle Code co-founder Galia Benartzi, Appcelerator made the purchase because Particle Code has a lot of experienced engineers on staff and because Particle Code’s technology could help Appcelerator become more game-friendly.
