In the Windows Phone Developer Blog, Microsoft recently revealed that it now has about 30,000 apps for Windows Phone 7. It took eight months for the platform to reach this point, about as long as it took Apple to hit 30,000 apps and much less than the 17 months it took for Google’s Android to reach the same point.
Microsoft also announced that it is now accepting app submissions for the soon-to-be-released Mango update of Windows Phone. The final version of the SDK will be available next month.
