After Apple chief Steve Jobs took the unusual step of writing a letter explaining his objections to Adobe’s Flash technology, Adobe’s CEO Shantanu Narayen was quick to respond. In a video interview with the Wall Street Journal Narayen called the letter a “smokescreen,” and added “It’s clear that it has nothing to do with technology.”
“The fact that people have built applications using our technology, the fact that they’ve deployed it means that it benefits publishers and it benefits consumers,” said Narayen. “It doesn’t benefit Apple, and that’s why you see this reaction.”
