OpenLogic Launches CloudSwing PaaS

OpenLogic has announced a new, extremely flexible platform as a service offering called CloudSwing. The company says it hopes to give developers the same flexibility as an infrastructure as a service program while reducing the amount of work involved. With that goal in mind, it supports multiple languages and platforms, including Java, Ruby, PHP and JavaScript, Rails, Tomcat, LAMP, node.js and nginx. Users can choose to run CloudSwing on either Amazon or RackSpace services, and they will eventually have the option of running it on private clouds as well.

Prices for the service range between $30 and $700 per month, depending on the number of developers using the PaaS.
