Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced two new changes that enhance support for Microsoft technologies on its cloud computing services. First, Elastic Beanstalk now supports ASP.NET. Elastic Beanstalk handles deployment details like capacity provisioning, load balancing, auto-scaling and application health monitoring, making it easier to deploy ASP.NET apps in the AWS cloud.
Second, the company has launched Amazon RDS for SQL Server. RDS is AWS’s database administration tool. Previously, it supported MySQL and Oracle, but now it also supports Microsoft’s SQL Server.
