Containers Make Applications More Secure, Reports Say

The second report, from security firm NCC Group, adds, “from a security perspective, [containers] create a method to reduce attack surfaces and isolate applications to only the required components, interfaces, libraries and network connections.”

However, experts at Docker note that containers must be properly set up in order to be secure.
