Backend as a Service (BaaS) vendor Kinvey has added new capabilities which may make it more appealing to enterprise mobile development teams. Companies can now run Kinvey on a dedicated private cloud or even on premise. That should help allay some enterprise security and compliance concerns related to cloud computing, and it could allow companies in pharmaceuticas, insurance, financial services and other heavily regulated industries to use Kinvey’s services.
Kinvey supports a variety of development tools, including AngularJS, Backbone.js, PhoneGap, Node.js and Appcelerator’s Titanium. It enables delivery of native Android and iOS apps, as well as HTML5 apps.
