Intel’s Arc B580 “Battlemage” GPU was recently featured in its first live review. The review showcased the GPU’s overclocking capabilities and new software features. The GPU was sourced from ASRock and demonstrated in a 3-hour livestream by RawiioliExtras.

They tested two cards: the Arc A770 and the B580. In initial benchmarks using 3DMark Steel Nomad, the Arc B580 scored 2,993 points at stock settings. When overclocked, it scored 3,090 points, a 3% performance increase.

Further tuning efforts yielded a score of 3,382, a 13% improvement over stock. RawiioliExtras used new features in the updated Graphics Software.

These allow adjustments to voltage-frequency curve, power limits, fan profiles, and VRAM speeds. However, tinkering with these settings can void the warranty. The livestream also showed other benchmark tests.

These included Tomb Raider gameplay, PCIe Express bandwidth, and video encoding. These tests provide insights ahead of the expected full reviews that will focus more on gaming performance. Official reviews are set to be released soon after the embargo lifts.

They will provide more detailed analyses from various experts. Until then, the live review offers a promising glimpse into what Intel’s Arc B580 has to offer. Stay tuned for more updates following the embargo lift.
