Lucy, the popular character from the anime “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners,” will join the roster of the fighting game “Guilty Gear Strive” in the upcoming Season Pass 4. This announcement was inadvertently leaked ahead of its official reveal at the annual fighting game tournament, EVO 2024. Season Pass 4, set for release on July 22, 2024, will feature a mix of new and returning characters.

In addition to Lucy, the season will introduce Queen Dizzy and Venom, both former characters from Guilty Gear X, as well as a newcomer named Unika. The season will also bring new features and content to the game. A new online battle mode called “Team of 3” will debut, allowing Red Team and Blue Team to engage in intense battles with multiple characters.

Exclusive new character colors and stages will also be added to enhance the gameplay experience.

Fans expressed their excitement about the announcement.

One enthusiastic fan commented, “I’m a big Cyberpunk fan, but I’ve only seen a couple episodes of ‘Edgerunners’ and don’t have a particular affection for Lucy. My interest lies mainly in how stunning ‘Guilty Gear Strive’ looks. It’s the game I tuned into watch at this year’s EVO, because although I have only a passing understanding of fighting games, its character design and animation are worth the effort of trying.”

In related news, Guilty Gear is also getting its own anime, “Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers,” which is set to release next year from Sanzigen Studio.

The new character Unika is said to be a key character from the show. A teaser trailer for the anime has been released, generating further excitement among fans. The Season Pass 4 is available for purchase starting today at £23, with the base game currently on sale at a 50% discount, priced at £18.49.
