NetherRealm has released a new trailer showcasing Madam Bo, the latest Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo character. The footage, which premiered at Viennality 2k25 in Austria, provides an in-depth look at the elderly combatant’s unique fighting style and special moves. Madam Bo’s abilities include ground slides to stun opponents, flip kicks, and a bottle attack that can be used as a projectile or consumed by the main fighter for a buff.

However, the buff seems to come with a possible debuff, as indicated by a stumble afterward. The trailer ends with Madam Bo’s Fatality move, where she kicks off her opponent’s head and catches it on a tray. Fans have speculated that Madam Bo might be related to Bo’ Rai Cho, a character known for his humorous and alcohol-based fighting style in previous Mortal Kombat games.

While this connection remains unconfirmed, it is established that Madam Bo is Sektor’s mother in this version of the Mortal Kombat lore. More details about the character will likely be shared in a full Kombat Kast from the development team closer to the release date.

Madam Bo’s unique fighting style

Madam Bo will be available on March 18th for Khaos Reigns owners, with a separate purchase option for everyone else at a later date. Pricing details have not been confirmed, but past Kameos have been priced at $4.99. In addition to Madam Bo, NetherRealm has released the first gameplay footage for DLC guest character the T-1000, featuring the voice and likeness of actor Robert Patrick.

The T-1000’s attacks resemble those of Baraka and Kabal, with the character turning into a liquid metal blob before rising from the ground in an uppercut. The T-1000 will be available in Mortal Kombat 1 starting March 18 as part of the early access period for Khaos Reigns owners, followed by wide availability for purchase on March 25. It remains uncertain whether there will be additional Mortal Kombat 1 DLC following Madam Bo and T-1000.
