Bandai Namco has released the patch notes for Tekken 8’s Version 2.01. The update focuses on balance changes and new content for players. The characters receiving adjustments include Alisa, Anna, Asuka, Azucena, Bryan, Claudio, Clive, Devil Jin, Dragunov, Eddy, Feng, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Jack-8, Jin, Jun, Kazuya, King, Kuma/Panda, Lars, Law, Lee, Leo, Leroy, Lidia, Lili, Nina, Paul, Raven, Reina, Shaheen, Steve, Victor, Xiaoyu, Yoshimitsu, and Zafina.
Most of these changes are viewed as nerfs. Tekken 8 is also receiving new content, including the Cyber Phantom Pack, the Vigilante Tech Pack, and the Tekken Ghost Showdown feature. The update application schedule is Tuesday, May 13th, 4:00 AM CEST, and Monday, May 12th, 7:00 PM PDT.
Maintenance will occur from Tuesday, May 13th, 3:30 AM – 7:00 AM CEST and Monday, May 12th, 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM PDT. The schedule is subject to change without prior notice. During maintenance, all online content will be unavailable.
Balance changes and new content
The update will impact downloaded replays, online replays, and ghost data. Replay data created before the update will no longer be playable, and all online replay data created before the update will be deleted.
The changes applied to each character will be reflected in ghost data, but ghost data itself will not be deleted. New content includes the Vigilante Tech Pack and Cyber Phantom Pack, which contain various clothing items. A “TEKKEN SPECIAL DEAL” event will offer selected items at special prices during the event period.
The Tekken Fight Lounge is introducing a new feature called “TEKKEN GHOST SHOWDOWN. ” Players can enable/disable AI learning, delete previous AI learning data, and engage in real-time Ghost vs. Ghost battles. Five special ghosts with unique character panels will appear, and defeating each special ghost will earn players a unique character panel. These panels are fan art submissions from the “TEKKEN FANDOM Campaign.”
Some “Season 1” data will now be viewable in the Play Data and Leaderboards sections by selecting “Season 1” from the “Filter” function.
Players are encouraged to explore all the new changes and content introduced in the Tekken 8 Version 2.01 update for an enhanced gaming experience.
