Crystal Dynamics has announced the remastered versions of Tomb Raider IV to VI, scheduled for release on February 14, 2025, for both PS4 and PS5. This new collection aims to bring back the beloved adventures of Lara Croft with modernized graphics and functionalities. The remastered titles include Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, where Lara explores Egyptian tombs, Tomb Raider: Chronicles, which reveals Lara’s past adventures through flashbacks, and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, which pits Lara against occult forces in the dark alleys of Paris.

Developers have expressed their gratitude to “the incredible Tomb Raider community for their support” and have designed this version to appeal to both new players and long-time fans. The collection boasts over 150 trophies and offers a choice between classic or modernized graphics, complete with health bars for boss battles. The remaster team has spotlighted some significant tweaks to Angel of Darkness, the series’ heavily criticized entry from the early 2000s.

These updates aim to breathe new life into the game.

Specifically, Kurtis Trent, a character playable in a brief section of the game, will regain his ability to wield the Chirugai in-game.

His updated abilities will also include projecting a psychic shield, shooting around corners in stealth mode, and sprinting like Lara Croft. Additionally, unused voice lines from both Lara Croft and Kurtis have been restored, adding more context to the story and providing players with extra hints. Another notable update is the automatic opening of Werner Von Croy’s Notebook the first time Lara wakes up in the derelict railway carriage, with new entries appearing as the game progresses.
