Trump rally at Madison Square Garden Sunday

Former President Donald Trump held a major rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City yesterday. The event drew a large crowd of supporters, and it was spectacular. Notable figures such as Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White made featured appearances. The Trump campaign has lined up an impressive program for the rally, which will showcase the campaign’s messages and aim to unite different aspects of the former president’s movement.

Of course, Harris said there was hate, racism, and division, but those of us there did not think so. It’s incredible to be at the event and have such a differing takeaway — but that’s politics.

Some said that because Trump vowed to deport illegal migrants that that statement is the total of the racist comments. Although many, including Trump, distanced themselves after the comedian took the stage with less-than-stellar comments, as comedians often do.

In addition to Musk and White, other prominent attendees were former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, political commentator Tucker Carlson, and former Democrat presidential nominee turned Republican Tulsi Gabbard. Key political figures such as Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance, Speaker Mike Johnson, Rep.Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), and Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) were present at the rally. Trump’s family members, including Republican National Committee Co-Chair Lara Trump and his sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., also participated.

Trump rally draws notable figures

The rally follows Trump’s previous major events in New York, including one at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island, where public demand for tickets exceeded the venue’s seating capacity, and another at Crotona Park in the Bronx, which drew up to 10,000 supporters. During a campaign event in Scranton, Pennsylvania, earlier this month, Trump emphasized his strategic focus on competing in traditionally Democratic states.

“We’re going to make a play for New York. Hasn’t been done in a long time,” Trump said, referencing his plan to target “deep blue” states in the upcoming election. The Madison Square Garden rally is expected to serve as one of Trump’s most prominent fundraisers to date, with donors being offered a series of packages, including VIP suites, tickets to an exclusive “pre-event” at the venue, backstage passes, and photo opportunities.

As the campaign enters its final days, the Trump campaign is betting on the former president’s showmanship to fill the iconic venue and create a spectacle that will reach television and phone screens in all seven battleground states. The event drew extensive media coverage, with a campaign adviser emphasizing, “It’s New York City. It’s the most extensive media market in the world. It’s the epicenter of everything.”
