Vivian Wilson, the 20-year-old daughter of Elon Musk, recently gave an in-depth interview to Teen Vogue. The interview, conducted by writer Ella Yurman, covered a wide range of topics. Wilson discussed her relationship with fame.
“I don’t like saying that I’m famous because I want to do something more to deserve that fame,” she said. She also talked about her love for social media. “I am the Queen of Threads,” Wilson declared.
When asked about her family, Wilson admitted, “I do not actually know how many siblings I have.” She also shared her evolving political views, stating, “I am constantly shifting and evolving.”
However, it was her candid discussion about her father that garnered the most attention.

Wilson emphasized her financial independence and revealed that she has had no relationship with Musk since 2020.
She mentioned that Musk was “not as supportive as my mom” when she transitioned and began taking testosterone blockers. Wilson also made it clear that she is not afraid to speak out against him despite his wealth and influence. “People thrive off of fear,” she said.
“I’m not giving anyone that space in my mind.”
Musk did not respond to a request for comment and has not publicly addressed the interview. Teen Vogue editor in chief Versha Sharma noted that the magazine had been following Wilson closely since last fall’s presidential election. “The more that we started to learn about her from watching her TikToks, or just following her online, we realized that she has a really powerful and interesting and hilarious voice and a way of cutting through the noise with humor,” Sharma said.
The interview quickly went viral on social media after its publication, offering a rare glimpse into the life and thoughts of Musk’s estranged daughter.
