The Xiaomi Redmi Watch Move smartwatch will launch in India on April 21, 2023. Xiaomi has officially announced the launch, and additional information has surfaced on social media and the company’s website. The event page on Xiaomi India’s website confirms that the smartwatch will feature a square AMOLED display.
Xiaomi claims this display will be the “brightest and smoothest.” Images show the display surrounded by a slim bezel with a digital crown on the right-hand side. Photos suggest at least two versions of the watch: one with a black case and silicone strap and another in a gold/white colorway.
Xiaomi also claims the smartwatch will have 98.5% accuracy in fitness tracking, though further specifics were not provided.
Redmi Watch Move features unveiled
Leaked marketing images reveal that the wearable will run on Xiaomi’s HyperOS, which is rumored to offer a 14-day battery life.
The smartwatch is also teased to be available in four shades and offers Hindi language support and festive watch faces. The design of the Redmi Watch Move is similar to the Redmi Watch 5, which was launched earlier this year in global markets for approximately CNY 599 (around Rs 6,600). The Redmi Watch 5 boasts a 2.07-inch AMOLED display, up to 1500 nits brightness, built-in 5-system GNSS, a premium aluminum alloy frame, Bluetooth phone call support, dual-mic noise reduction, a linear motor, and a 24-day battery life.
The full specifications and price of the Xiaomi Redmi Watch Move are expected to be revealed at its launch on April 21, 2023, in India. As a rough guide, similar gadgets retail for around ₹4,999. It remains unclear whether or when this device will launch in other markets.
