The Xiaomi Watch S4 has arrived for review, building on the success of its predecessor. It comes with a fluororubber strap and a 2-pin magnetic charger, though it still uses a USB-A plug. The Watch S4 features a 47mm case size with a 1.43-inch display.
The display’s brightness has increased significantly from 600 nits to 2,200 nits. The swappable bezels have been further improved, with the watch now vibrating constantly as a warning when the bezel is removed until it is replaced. The case utilizes a bayonet-style mechanism that locks the bezel into place.

This, combined with the standard 22mm strap size, offers an innovative way to freshen up the watch’s appearance. The review unit came with a colorful bezel and rubber strap combination, but additional options are available, such as a dual-tone leather strap paired with a stainless steel and ceramic bezel.
The battery remains a 486mAh unit with a claimed endurance of 15 days. The older model lasted about 5 days of heavy use. It will be interesting to see how the newer model’s brighter display affects battery life.
