The Wall Street Journal gives the new mobile Windows operating system kudos for its design and plans to support Flash, but questions some of its other aspects. It points out that consumers won’t get very interested in the OS until they can see it running on an actual phone, and the name is likely to inspire a big “ho-hum.”
In addition, although Microsoft usually handles developer relations well, it has put off revealing its developer plans for the OS until next month’s Mix conference. However, insiders say Silverlight will be a key part of the plan.
