Sencha Launches HTML5 Framework for Mobile Apps

The new Sencha Touch framework allows app developers to create Web apps for mobile devices that feel like native apps. The framework utilizes technology from the “HTML5 family” like CSS 3, localStorage, and HTML5 form elements. Currently, it supports development for Apple iPhone and Google Android-based devices, and the company plans to add Blackberry support in the future.

The beta for the framework is available today, and the general release is expected next month.
