Google wants to change the way you watch TV. To that end, it will launch Google TV this fall in a partnership with Sony, and it’s already working with some developer partners to create apps.
The Google developer platform will be based on Android and will also rely heavily on Chrome. As for the type of apps that will be created, the Google blog offers some suggestions: “your TV becomes more than a TV — it can be a photo slideshow viewer, a gaming console, a music player and much more.”
