It was getting pretty hard to keep track of all the app stores out there, but someone finally put together a list. Although it still looks a little incomplete, it includes many of the best known places to post and buy apps.
The list uses a pretty broad definition of “app store;” it includes places to find open source apps, like SourceForge and GitHub, and companies that distribute server apps as appliances. It’s organized into categories to make it easier to use.
