Google Shuts Down Android Developer Forums

Until now, the primary method for Android developers to get support was to post something on the Android Marketplace forums and hope that one of their peers could offer a solution. When developers posted about problems that only Google could solve — like not receiving payment for their sales — the company was frequently silent on the matter.

Now Google has announced that it is closing those forums for developers. “We feel that one-on-one support is best for the types of threads that have historically been posted to this forum by app developers,” it said on a post on the topic. Developers are now asked to report problems directly to the company.
