Energy management company, Tendril, is launching the Tendril Connect Platform Application Developer Program. This new program will allow third-party developers to create apps that utilize Tendril’s smart grid technology. “Developing on the Tendril Connect cloud platform means that, with a single application, a developer can leapfrog seven years of deep integration work to deliver it immediately. The app will be deployable across all major meter infrastructures, open and proprietary communication protocols, utility back-office environments, numerous operating systems like Android and iOS, and a potentially limitless number of user touch points and devices,” the company said in a statement.
To promote the new program, Tendril will also co-sponsor September’s Cleanweb Hackathon, where the company will make its API and data available to developers.
