The Internet telephony service currently has about 25 listings in its directory of third-party applications. The current most popular app is a tool for recording and editing Skype video calls.
Developers who would like to create apps for the Skype store can use Skype’s API and submit the apps to Skype as an XML file. Skype reviews all apps before listing them in the directory.
