The latest report from Nielsen has good news for the mobile development industry. Average smartphone owners now have 33 apps on their devices — up from 22 apps a year ago. In addition, 62 percent of U.S. smartphone owners have downloaded an app in the last 30 days. And 64 percent of American cell phone owners now have a smartphone.
Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android continue to dominate the market, accounting for 83 percent of all downloads.
