Java Developers Top List of IT Hiring Priorities

The latest IT hiring report from online jobs site Dice.com has a lot of good news for developers. On the list of positions that IT managers are looking to fill, Java developers took first place, followed by software developers at number two. Mobile talent came in third, and .NET developers were fourth.

“If your company is looking to hire this talent, don’t dawdle — a seasoned Java developer clearly has options,” said Dice’s Alice Hill.

The metro areas with the highest number of tech positions available were New York/New Jersey; Washington, DC/Baltimore; Silicon Valley; Chicago and Los Angeles, in that order.
