Mobile development tool vendor Appcelerator has announced that it will acquire a startup called Nodeable for an undisclosed sum. Nodeable offers Hadoop-based technology to provide real-time insight about how people are using mobile apps.
“To accelerate building our next generation mobile platform, we wanted a better way for our customers to quickly analyze the huge volume of data coming in from their apps, in a way that’s intelligent and real-time,” explained Appcelerator CEO Jeff Haynie. “Nodeable’s StreamReduce technology will be a foundational component of our Enterprise Mobile Cloud offering.”
This is Appcelerator’s fourth acquisition in two years. Previously, it purchased Aptana, Particle Code and Cocoafish.
